Dining Room

Dining Room

The dining room holds many memories in the household from family meals to dinner parties. Living with family or friends, it's good to have that assigned space where you can all sit together and share stories of each other's day over a meal. Alternatively, the dining room can be a great place to work and be away from distractions. The one constant the dining room will always have is food, whether it's breakfast in the morning or a well deserved dinner after a long day's work.

Design Inspirations:

Keep It Sturdy

You're going to want to get a lot of use out of your dining room chairs and table so make sure to get furniture which will last and hold a lot of weight. There's nothing worse than finding your perfect dining room set which then falls apart a year later. Look up reviews before buying and do your research. It will save you money in the long run.

Table Magic

Deciding on the size of a table can be tricky. Wanting a table that doesn't take up too much room but can also seat all your guests is a difficult balance. For those who don't have the largest dining room, a great way to solve this problem are extendable tables. There are automatic and manual extendable tables with various designs to suit your dining room décor.

Lighting From Above

The perfect ceiling light can be highly underestimated. There are so many different styles of ceiling lights that it can no longer just be considered as a lighting function, but an art piece which can hold the whole room together.

Knock Down The Wall!

Sick of climbing over chairs to get to the other side of your dining room, but don't want to give up items of furniture? Knock down a wall or take the plunge and create an extension. Combining your kitchen and dining room can make the room feel a lot more open and keep you social when hosting a dinner party.
